This journey to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee opens with a picturesque drive along Israel’s Mediterranean coast before turning inland toward the Valley of Armageddon, where panoramic views reveal the ancient mound of Megiddo. The route continues past Mount Precipice en route to Nazareth, home to some of Christianity’s most significant landmarks. Here, we visit the renowned Church of the Annunciation as well as the neighboring Church of St. Joseph.

Heading eastward, we travel through Cana, remembered as the setting of Jesus’ first miracle, where water was transformed into wine. As we approach the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes comes into view from a distance, traditionally identified as the place where the Sermon on the Mount was delivered. Our exploration continues in Capernaum, a historic fishing village on the lakeshore, followed by a stop at Tabgha to see the Church of the Multiplication, commemorating the miracle of the loaves and fishes.

The journey then passes through Tiberias before reaching Yardenit, a well-known baptismal site on the Jordan River, believed to be near the location where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. On the return drive, we pass Mount Tabor, long associated with the event of the Transfiguration, bringing the day’s biblical landscapes and history together into a meaningful conclusion.
